The water continues its journey. Farmland has given way to the contrasting sculpture of a high-rise and an evening barbecue in a suburban backyard, the simple relaxing task of watering your lawn, a complex manufacturing process, or a drink at a fountain. The water has come from hundreds of miles away. These arteries circulate life through daily city activities in Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Diego, and many other urban centers in the West.
