Transcript for A New Horizon, segment 07 of 13

The facilities administered by the North Platte River Project's office provide irrigation water to nearly three hundred thirty-five thousand acres of farmland in the North Platte River Basin. Headquartered in Mills, Wyoming, the office includes a master supervisory control center which allows remote control of many functions at several dams and power plants on three river systems. Among the water systems managed by this office is the North Platte Project which includes Pathfinder Dam, one of Reclamation's oldest. This project includes a second storage dam, a diversion dam, and power plant. Two other units managed by the North Platte Project's office are Kortes and Glendo, both part of the Pick-Sloan Program.

The Open Video Project is managed at the Interaction Design Laboratory,
