A history of the unique Saeko Ichinohe Dance Company, one of the pioneers of multicultural choreography. Narrated by the former Director of the Performing Arts Program of Asia Socity, the video essay analyzes how change in the New York City economy and the activities of a dance group affect each other and lead new trends and approaches. Part 1 focuses Saeko Ichinohe's period at The Juilliard School through the formation and establishment of her company focusing on her choreographic style.
